Mersey Road Allotments are opening their gates for their annual open day. Expect to find:

Produce and plants for sale - flowers, plants, vegetables, pickles and preserves.

Competitions - Spud in the Bag, Best 5 Vegetables, Best Scarecrow, Longest Bean, Ugliest Vegetable, Heaviest Potato, Best Bunch of Flowers.
(Judging will take place at 1pm)

Refreshments - home baked cakes, scones, hotdogs and burgers.

Activities - face painting and children’s treasure hunt.
